What is mastery and competency-based learning?

A competency-based education is based on an outcomes approach. This means that students will show mastery of a comprehensive set of competencies and content knowledge before advancing to the next set of topics and/or content. This approach ensures that students will have the strongest foundation of knowledge possible to prepare them for colleges and careers.

The goal of competency-based education at LW School of Global Studies is that every student will graduate prepared for college, career, and civic life.
